A little staging never hurts!
I really like the 5" pre-cut blocks. They make it so easy to line up and match seam lines.
Last Friday I stopped in Joanne's just to see what they had and to have them scan my barcode so my flyers wouldn't stop being mailed. There was no intention of buying - this was just a looking trip before heading home.
Joanne's always has clearance items but I have never seen quilt books being on clearance. I walked out of the store with $120 worth of books for $25! And they (5 books) are all books that I will use or share with others.
In fact, the first wall hanging is already being pieced on the design wall from one of the books.
The quilt book gives the options of either using 5" or 10" pre-cut squares. The pattern is a typical bow tie. I can see a lot of possibilities with this pattern.
If you like working with pre-cut blocks I would highly recommend this book. Pre-cut blocks have been around for quite awhile now but I am finding they can become addictive!
