Grandma the Star

Today Mom/Grandma/Mary/Muttsie was just like we have known her.  Whether it is because she just had a good day or because this is a turning point, we will take it for whatever it is.

Since she loves to have her picture taken, lets begin:

We are learning to take time in the morning to catch up on the daily news (you notice it is the sports section!).

 



Then we went to her favorite hair stylist (her granddaughter Verna) and came out looking really cute.

After which we went shopping before returning to her new home.  We returned  just in time for the entertainment.  He was really good and played and sang a lot of Neil Diamond songs with a few Elvis ones thrown in.   He honored mom/granny by dedicating a song to her.

 

 

 

Aren't they all looking happy - Rosemary, Mom, and the entertainment!

 

All too soon the day had to come to an end.

Validation!

The world is full of surprises and this one was the grand daddy of all surprises.   Chris (quilting buddy) had a few quilts that she was going to enter in the Umpqua Valley Quilt Show and said I should enter one of mine.  So I had Bill pick one of my small wall hangings. This I never expected:

 

 

 But I was quietly THRILLED!

The next one is on the sewing table and just about done...

 

 

So much fabric, so many UFP's, so little time!
